HISTORY

of Haiti Swimming

  • 2021 | Largest delegation sent to CCCAN Caribbean Qualifiers where 11 medals are won, a longstanding CCCAN Record is broken and 2 athletes are Olympic Bound. 

  • 2020 | Despite major setbacks due to COVID-19, 3 athletes set 6 National Records and win 12 International Medals

  • 2019 | 5 International Medals Won for Team Haiti Swimming

  • 2018 | Haiti’s First International Gold Medal Won

  • 2016 | Haiti’s First Olympic Swim Team competes: male swimmer Mike Dorsainvil and first ever female swimmer, Naomy Grand’Pierre

  • 2014 Haiti becomes the 204th country to receive membership as a federation by FINA, the governing body of swimming.

  • 1996 | First Olympic Swimmer, Alain Sergile, competes in the 100m butterfly.

  • 1928 | Haiti Wins an Olympic Medal (Riffle Shooting)

  • 1924 | Haiti Wins an Olympic Medal (Track)
